Once you have submitted your form to TrademarkPrime to register a trademark we will review it and confirm with you all relevant information that is needed for a successful application. You will be required to pay the trademark registration fees and the government fees.
The trademark registration process has a typical processing time of 4 – 6 months in the UK & USA and around 6 – 9 months for the EU Trademark. If there are objections to the application for registration this may take longer and TrademarkPrime will support you in this process if required.
Once the trademark has been registered you can then use the ® symbol (this is usually placed on the top right of the trademark) on all your business’s marketing material, which confirms the trademark is registered and acts as a warning to any competitors seeking to copy or imitate your goods or services.
Once your trademark is registered it will be significantly easier to bring legal action against any infringements, copying, or passing off. Furthermore, if this is the first time you have filed the trademark, it can be used as the basis for future registrations made abroad within 6 months.
